Accounts Payable Officer

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Officer, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This full-time role (35 hours per week) offers a chance to engage in varied responsibilities, from processing invoices to reconciling supplier accounts, while playing a key part in the efficient running of the finance department. Additionally, you'll provide support for office administration when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and import fuel and non-fuel invoices into the Purchase Ledger (Sage 50 or NetSuite).
  • Reconcile supplier statements and accounts monthly or quarterly, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately allocate payments and manage monthly payment processes.
  • Handle employee expense reimbursements in line with company policy.
  • Assist with month-end tasks and ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Provide administrative support for office operations as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with Purchase Ledger systems (training provided for the right candidate).
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume invoice processing with precision.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounts software (experience with Sage or NetSuite is a plus).
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.

We are currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor to join our team Roberts Garages West Forecourt!

As our site supervisor you will be responsible :

- To provide prompt, courteous and efficient customer service
- Deputise for the Site Manager or the Assistant Manager in their absence
- To handle cash, cheques, credit cards and credit transactions accurately and responsibly
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks at the request of the Site Manager
- Continuously work with the Assistant Manager or Site Manager to determine products and services to be sold, ensuring adequate
levels of stock are maintained
- Manage and constantly seek to increase the performance of the forecourt, ensuring a high level of service to customers at all
times

Auto Centre Fitter

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To carry out work as and when required on a customer’s vehicle
  • To undertake all functions provided by the Auto Centres
  • Receive and unload any goods delivered to the Auto Centres making sure the delivery area is made safe.
  • Keep the workshop and machinery clean and tidy and free from hazards.
  • Deliver and collect vehicle parts when necessary.
  • Ensure good customer relations when dealing with customers, acting in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner.
  • Regularly check operation of equipment, advising management immediately of malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance of oneself, staff and customers with health & safety policy, company policies and other relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all safety protection is worn and used at all times.
  • Advise customers on products, seeking technical advice from the Manager / Supervisor as required.
  • Attend any training courses organised by the company in relation to the role.
  • Learn and understand product details and their application.
  • To take utmost care when driving or working on a customer’s vehicle.
  • To promote the Auto Centre business including any special offers and promotional events.

Additional Duties/Notes

The employee may be asked at the discretion of the employer to carry out tasks, which may not normally be covered under the Job Description, but would not be of a nature that would be unreasonable to ask of the employee. Although the position is based over the above named sites, you may be required to work at or transfer to another branch at any given time during your employment, with shifts being adjusted accordingly.
